Taking a heaping scoop of talent, various
drops of personalities and a hefty amount of spirituality, and you'll have
the main ingredient to a sanctified recipe known as The Mighty Sons of
Glory. With Their sophomore CD project "Stairway to Heaven," this
traditional gospel quartet singing group is taking the world by storm. Their
heartfelt, soul-lifting, rhythmic sounds and precise harmony are stirring up
conversation and accumulating a huge following across the nation.
The group was formed in 1990,
by Donald Padgett in Hartford, Connecticut. They were originally known as
The New Beginning. In January, 2000 changes were
made to the personnel and the group was renamed The Mighty Sons of Glory.
The
multi-talented group hailing from diverse backgrounds consists of Donald
Padgett, Tom Walker, John Lemon, Jerry Latimer, Gerry Williams, John Smith,
Eric Hall, Early B. Hunter, Daryl Hogan and Lorenzo Parker. They are
definitely making a name for themselves, bringing flavor and style to
gospel, Christian and secular genres. Their CD, "Stairway to
Heaven," is an exciting and spiritually-charged example of the love for God
and ministry rooted within them. Because each member brings special
qualities and personalities to the group, their creativity is endless.
The Mighty Sons of Glory has shared their message of praise,
hope, and deliverance in numerous arenas and have appeared on concert billing with: Lee Williams & The
Spiritual Q.C's, The Jackson Southernaires, Doc McKenzie & The Gospel
Highlites, The Five Blind Boys, Spencer Taylor and the Highway Q.C's, The
Shepard's of Flint Michigan, The Sensational Nightingales, The Lumzy
Sisters, The late Willie Neal Johnson & Keynotes and many others.
